On September 19, Brian Wick represented VetJobs at the 2025 NJ Veterans Business Summit at Brookdale Community College in Lincroft, NJ. Hosted by the NJ State Veterans Chamber of Commerce, the event featured a job fair, health fair, and expert speakers focused on improving veteran employment. VetJobs connected with candidates seeking quality roles and training opportunities.

On September 23, Renetta Stratton represented VetJobs at the AFW2 Patriot Resource Fair in Live Oak, TX. With over 150 AFW2 staff and care managers in attendance, the event offered a valuable opportunity to connect with professionals supporting wounded warriors and their families. Special thanks to the AFW2 Community Programs team for including VetJobs/Military Spouse Jobs as a resource partner.

On September 17, Karen Francis attended the Job Fair at the Museum of the United States Army as a resume reviewer. With over 100 attendees and recruiters from major employers like BAE, CapitolOne, and Leidos, the event was a great opportunity to support job seekers. Thanks to Fort Belvoir ACS, Virginia Values Veterans, DVS, and partners for hosting another impactful event.

On September 11, VetJobs and Military Spouse Jobs participated in the 3rd Annual “Leading to Win” Conference in San Antonio, TX. The event brought together military, veteran, and civilian communities to strengthen collaboration and expand access to resources. Our team shared career readiness tools and training opportunities, alongside 25+ resource partners and 24 workshops. Highlights included a fireside chat with Clint Bruce and an enlistment ceremony for four future soldiers.

On September 3, VetJobs and Military Spouse Jobs attended the Trip-Base Career Fair at the University of North Florida, hosted by the Fleet and Family Support Center. Katherine DeBeer and Regina LeValley connected with job seekers and potential partners, including a promising conversation with a Bob Barker Foundation board member. Thank you to the organizers for a successful event supporting military-affiliated employment.

On September 3, 2025, VetJobs and Military Spouse Jobs participated in the Trip-Base Career Fair hosted by the Fleet and Family Support Center at the University of North Florida. Katherine DeBeer and Regina LeValley represented our team, connecting with military-affiliated job seekers and over 100 participating organizations. They shared information about our services and explored potential partnerships, including a promising conversation with a board member from The Bob Barker Foundation regarding future funding opportunities.

On August 23, VetJobs and Military Spouse Jobs attended the 147th NGAUS Conference in Milwaukee, WI. Brig Gen (Ret.) David May and Tricia Callahan engaged with attendees and vendors to promote the National Guard Employment Network (NGEN) and its support services. The event included senior leaders from across the Guard, including Gen Nordhaus, CNGB, and Gen Daniel Caine, Chairman of the JCS.

On August 21, 2025, Denise Lewis, Director of Outreach and Community Engagement, represented VetJobs and Military Spouse Jobs at the Richmond Veterans Resource Event at the Greater Richmond Convention Center. The event served veterans facing significant barriers—including disability, homelessness, and prior incarceration—making our presence essential. VetJobs and Military Spouse Jobs provided tailored career support, including resume assistance, job placement, and training resources.

On August 20th at Daley College, Chicago, IL, area Veterans, Service Members, and their families; employers,
governmental representatives, and Veteran support groups were invited to connect with representatives of the Maritime Industrial Base, Midwest. VetJobs Chicago representative and Outreach Specialist John Thurmond was there to represent VetJobs and Military Spouse Jobs, as well as to explain how our organization can support the MIB.

On August 19, Brig Gen (Ret.) David May and Jamie Dale presented at the Work For Warriors Coalition Summit in San Antonio, TX. They reintroduced VetJobs and NGEN, and Brig Gen May was introduced as the new Director of NG and Reserve Partnerships. Ryan Jackson and Cari Kuhn also gave a live demo of BrassRing, highlighting recent improvements. The presentations sparked valuable discussions, and we look forward to continued collaboration with the coalition.

On August 5–6, 2025, Hiring Our Heroes hosted the 12th Annual Warrior Symposium in partnership with America’s Warrior Partnership. This premier event brought together hundreds of veteran-serving professionals to collaborate on improving support for veterans and their families.

Held on August 5, 2025, at Liberty Station Conference Center, the 5th Annual San Diego Military Summit brought together over 500 attendees, including military leaders, business professionals, nonprofit organizations, and transitioning service members.

On July 30, 2025, VetJobs and Military Spouse Jobs attended the Military to Manufacturing Career Fair at Fort Hood, hosted by Heroes MAKE America. Renetta Stratton represented our team, joining over 25 companies focused on manufacturing and veteran transition support. Held at the Lone Star Conference Center, the event offered attendees the chance to submit resumes for open positions and access resources for employment and career growth.

On July 23, 2025, Pittsburgh Hires Veterans hosted its 2nd Annual National Hire a Veteran Day Job Fair, connecting veterans with employers and service providers. Heather Oleksak and Jennifer Javorski represented VetJobs and Military Spouse Jobs, engaging with approximately 60 veterans and 45 organizations. Notable participants included UPMC, Duquesne University, Highmark Health/AHN, and the VA. Several veterans registered on-site, and many others received information about available support services.

Army ROTC Branch Day on July 19, 2025, was a valuable opportunity to explore new partnerships and share how ReC3ON’s career services can support officers’ civilian career development. Engagements with leaders from BOLC, Aviation, and Cyber branches revealed strong interest in integrating our programs into cadet planning. These discussions opened doors for expanded collaboration, leadership briefings, and potential high-level referrals—reinforcing ReC3ON’s role in bridging the gap between commissioning and long-term career success.

On June, 3, 2025, John Thurmond represented VetJobs at the “Boots to Business Cards” event hosted by Roll Call Chicagoland. Zurich NA hosted us at their Chicago offices. Representatives from the Department of Labor conducted the training sessions, primarily on resume and cover letters. Zurich NA also led us on a tour of their offices.

On May 29, we attended MilSpouse Fest DC, focused on mental health and empowering spouses to pursue their goals. Military Spouse Jobs and VetJobs were invited to share our services with attendees. Panels addressed key community issues—especially employment—and featured powerful insights from Suzie Schwartz, Jess Rudd, Annie Peguero, Bill Barrington, Dr. Ingrid Herrera-Yee, and Dr. Cecily Moore. Dr. Moore’s fireside chat was a heartfelt reminder that spouses’ dreams matter too.

On May 22, 2025, during Memorial Day weekend, Tricia Callahan and Karen Francis represented Military Spouse Jobs and VetJobs at the Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS) event in Arlington, VA. They engaged with parents, spouses, and children of fallen service members, sharing information about MSJ/VJ and Military Youth programs. Many attendees were surprised and grateful to learn they qualified for support—especially former and second spouses. One individual was moved to tears upon learning she was eligible for free resume assistance.

May 21, 2025, Westinghouse hosted its 3rd Annual Career Event in partnership with VetJobs to support veterans transitioning to civilian careers. Twenty veteran attendees engaged directly with hiring managers and participated in on-the-spot interviews. VetJobs team members Heather Oleksak and Jennifer Javorski assisted with registration, while representatives from the Westinghouse Veteran Employment Resource Group provided additional support. The event strengthened VetJobs’ commitment to veteran employment and laid groundwork for future collaboration.

May 21, 2025, VetJobs and Military Spouse Jobs attended the Spouse Career and Hiring Fair at Fort Cavazos, represented by Career Specialist Renetta Stratton. The event, held at the Lone Star Conference Center, featured organizations including TAP, Texas Veterans Commission, Texas Workforce Commission, ACS, USO, and various law enforcement agencies. Attendees received valuable resources for employment and career advancement.

May 20, 2025, VetJobs and Military Spouse Jobs were represented at DEAMcon25 in Scottsdale, AZ by Denise Lewis, Harry “Chip” Trosclair, and Amy Rossi. The panel shared insights on veteran employment, focusing on increasing visibility, fostering industry connections, sharing best practices, and advocating for improved outcomes. Audience engagement provided valuable feedback to refine VetJobs’ programs and outreach.

On May 15, 2025, VetJobs attended the Hire Vets Now Job Fair at Ft. Myer/Henderson Hall, engaging with veterans, military spouses, and displaced federal workers. Attendees included TAP participants and job seekers exploring training and employment opportunities. Employers present included CACI, Peraton, Leidos, Fairfax County Fire and Police, Patriot IT, Red Gate Group, and Nationwide IT Services.

On May 10, 2025, VetJobs sponsored and participated in Plum Touch-A-Truck 2025, a community event in Plum, PA featuring over 30 vehicles and local organizations. Team member Heather Oleksak represented VetJobs, engaging with attendees and sharing information about services for veterans and their families. The event provided valuable outreach and visibility in a family-friendly setting.

On May 9, 2025, Denise Lewis, Director of Outreach, attended the State of the Military Family Summit hosted by the National Military Family Association in Washington, DC. The event convened senior leaders, policymakers, and military families to address key challenges facing the military community, with a focus on financial and emotional stressors.

On May 7, 2025, the VetJobs Pittsburgh team attended the Thank You For Your Service Job and Resource Fair, hosted by PA CareerLink. The event connected veterans and service members with local employers and support organizations. Several job seekers registered on-site, and VetJobs initiated potential employer partnerships.

On May 7, 2025, VetJobs participated in a job fair supporting transitioning service members, military spouses, and displaced federal workers. Employers included Peraton, CACI, Prism, Leidos, and local law enforcement and government agencies. Veteran service organizations such as Hiring Our Heroes, HillVets, Dog Tag, DVS, and ACS Fort Belvoir were also present.

On May 6, 2025, Jamie Dale attended UNLEASH America, the premier U.S. HR technology conference, by invitation from BrassRing. The event featured leading voices in HR and AI, including a keynote by Dr. Joy Buolamwini on ethical AI.
BrassRing, VetJobs’ technology partner for over 20 years, previewed upcoming platform enhancements. VetJobs was honored to attend and engage with innovations shaping the future of workforce technology.

On April 29–30, 2025, Harry “Chip” Trosclair, Chief of Staff at VetJobs and Military Spouse Jobs, attended the Accelerated Training in Defense Manufacturing (ATDM) Summit in Danville, VA. While there, he met with leadership from ATDM and the Institute for Advanced Learning and Research (IALR) to discuss VetJobs’ forthcoming partnership and opportunities to support ATDM’s workforce development initiatives.

On April 16, 2025, Karen Francis participated in the Resume Review Room at Hiring Our Heroes’ annual Career Summit in the D.C. area, alongside representatives from Fort Belvoir ACS, Virginia DVS, and Wounded Warrior Project. Over 400 participants attended, with a continuous flow of resume review requests throughout the event.
Attendees included transitioning service members, displaced federal employees, and military spouses seeking new opportunities. VetJobs/MSJ provided resume guidance and career resources, reinforcing its role as a trusted support provider. Special thanks to Hiring Our Heroes for the opportunity to engage with this community.

On April 10, 2025, we were honored to be recognized at the VetIndexes Conference for our work empowering veterans and military spouses through meaningful employment.

On April 8, 2025, Milinda Rau and Karen Francis attended the Transition Connection Job Fair at the Gaylord Conference Center, National Harbor, as part of the Navy League’s Sea-Air-Space Expo. This marked VetJobs/MSJ’s fourth year participating in the event.
With service providers and employers co-located, traffic to our resource table increased significantly. Attendees included transitioning service members, military spouses, and veterans impacted by federal employment changes. Resume reviews revealed a need for training on shifting from federal to private-sector job searches, which the Training Team is now developing.

On April 8, 2025, Pittsburgh Program Manager Heather Oleksak attended a regional meeting focused on military and community resources. The session featured updates from organizations including USAA, PA Army National Guard, VA Suicide Prevention, VA Women’s Outreach, Veterans Leadership Program, PA CareerLink, and others.
Topics included mental health, employment support, women veteran outreach, and educational opportunities. The meeting provided valuable insights into collaborative efforts supporting veterans, service members, and their families in the Pittsburgh area.

On April 5, 2025, John Harris represented VetJobs and NGEN at the Alabama National Guard Annual Conference in Florence, AL. The event welcomed approximately 175 Guard members, spouses, and families, along with corporate partners offering resources across education, contracting, and support services.
John shared employment solutions for Guard members and spouses in Alabama, reinforcing VetJobs’ commitment to military-connected communities. Special thanks to Col. Ron “Stoney” Stone, CMSgt Matthew Payne, and their teams for organizing a successful event.

On April 3rd, 2025, the V3 Conference at Inova Campus in Fairfax brought together Virginia employers and partners to explore strategies for hiring veterans and military spouses. Hosted by Inova, a leading employer in the region, the event featured opening remarks from the new Commissioner of the Department of Veterans Services (DVS) and was emceed by veteran employment advocate Kevin Schmiegel.

On April 2, 2025, Denise Lewis attended a Comcast roundtable at the Comcast Technology Center in Philadelphia, alongside representatives from VetJobs, Military Spouse Jobs, NPower, Hiring Our Heroes, and Wounded Warrior Project. The discussion focused on Comcast’s hiring needs and its internal concierge military program, designed to support Guard and Reserve members.

On April 2, 2025, BrendaLee Winans, Director of Recruiter Connect, represented VetJobs/MSJ at MilSpouseFest at Camp Pendleton. The event focused on supporting military spouses through resources, professional development, and community engagement.
BrendaLee participated in a panel discussion alongside leaders from the Military Spouse Advocacy Network and the veteran media community, highlighting training opportunities available through Military Spouse Jobs. Attendees showed strong interest in certifications across fields such as HR, project management, and real estate.

On March 28, 2025, Denise Lewis and Stacey Cummings attended the Congressional Roundtable Luncheon in Virginia Beach, hosted by the Navy League of the United States Hampton Roads. They engaged with Jenny Lynn Stroup (Hiring Our Heroes) and Capt. Lou Schager, USN (Ret.), and shared information about VetJobs and Military Spouse Jobs.
The luncheon featured congressional representatives from four Virginia districts, who addressed regional military and shipyard concerns. The event provided valuable networking opportunities and insights into current legislative priorities.

On March 21–22, 2025, VetJobs/MSJ participated in the BORDERPLEX Veteran & Family Caregiver Expo, sponsored by the Elizabeth Dole Foundation. The event featured full VA representation, expert speakers, and breakout sessions focused on wellness, caregiver support, and employment pathways. Over 150 attendees visited our table, where we shared resources for veterans and caregivers.

On March 21st, VetJobs National Outreach Manager Michael Hein Connects with San Diego Army Reserve & Veterans. This week, Michael Hein, VetJobs’ National Outreach Manager, was honored to visit San Diego, where he spoke with an Army Reserve unit and forged valuable partnerships for career advancement.

On March 19, 2025, the event featured two sessions: a morning program for military-connected high school students and an afternoon job fair for veterans, military spouses, and displaced federal workers. During the morning session, students showed strong interest in our services. In the afternoon, many expressed interest in our resume and career coaching services.

On March 13, 2025, Deb Kloeppel, founder and president of VetJobs and Military Spouse Jobs, was the keynote speaker at the MilSpouseFest Event at Fort Cavazos. MilSpouseFest was an event designed to support military spouses with resources to navigate professional and military life. It’s well-organized, caring, and truly focused on connection.

On March 12, 2025, VetJobs/MSJ attended the Tri-Base Career Expo at the University of North Florida hosted by Fleet and Family Services. This event connected transitioning service members and military spouses with employers, educational institutions, and veteran resources. We strengthened partnerships with organizations like Hiring Our Heroes, ST Engineering, and Boeing, and successfully registered three candidates on-site. Our presence was well received, and we look forward to continuing our impact in the Jacksonville area.

On February 20, 2025, the VetJobs Pittsburgh Program hosted an outreach table at Robert Morris University to engage with student veterans. The team shared information about career services, answered questions, and provided resume reviews with personalized feedback. This event helped raise awareness of VetJobs and directly supported student veterans preparing to enter the workforce.

On February 7, 2025, Pittsburgh Program Manager Heather Oleksak met with representatives from the Pittsburgh and Monroeville branches of CareerLink PA to strengthen collaboration in support of veteran employment. The discussion focused on aligning resources to connect veterans with meaningful career opportunities and long-term success. Together, we aim to deliver tailored career services, job placement support, and professional development programs that empower veterans in their transition to civilian careers.

Since its founding in 2011 with 40 partners, the Military Spouse Employment Partnership (MSEP) has grown to nearly 1,000, including Military Spouse Jobs, a Spouse Ambassador Network (SAN) partner since 2013.
At the 2025 Partner Meeting and Induction Ceremony, 234 new partners joined. The event offered in-person collaboration, best practice sharing, and updated data to support partner initiatives.
